I almost dare not post on the OBL thread because I am sure to receive a large amount of automatic abuse. I am not a holder, but hold shares in most of the companies in the Canning Basin. I have been invested in these companies for almost 5 years now. I have NO interest in turning people off OBL, just want to see honest and factual statements backed up.
But I feel the two posts above, need to at the least, be discussed further, because there are honest hardworking people in the real world that read these threads, and realistically, some of the posts will in some way guide their decisions (whether that is wise or not is upto them).
lifesgood - could you please provide further details as to why today's announcement is a good or positive situation for OBL. Could you also provide examples of where the change in discussion (for other companies regarding Native Title) like what has occurred to OBL has resulted in an outcome that is "as good as in the bag". I for one, am not going to simply read your statement as fact. For me, a clear example is James Price point, where... things are most definitely not "in the bag" (I agree that is indeed a negative example).
Cudeco1 - sorry, but where in today's announcement did it state that OBL is in discussions with majors regarding a farm in? I am very happy to be proven wrong as I in turn, would hate to think I EVER mislead anyone, even on a public forum.
I wish OBL holders all the best in the future, but, I have been watching OBL for many months. The only thing I will say, is that if one has the time, a read through all of Hot Coppers threads on OBL over the past 4 years. Gave me a clear view of how the company is run, and its future possibilities. Derby is indeed the only asset IMO that OBL has that is worth anything. Sorry to be blunt. I am impressed at all the posters that have been so strongly positive on the stock even with the recent announcements that the company has published.
I really have been holding my tongue so to speak.
