I was talking to a young Italian tourist about housing a while back, he told me that where he comes from it is common for several generations to live in the same house and that the mortgage for the house is for 100 years and passed down from father to son. So I agree that we have been well blessed in this country and probably can't take home ownership for granted in the future.
