Bots only need to match the bid or offer plus one share to alter the price up or down. my theory is that bots are set to "at market" sells for shorts and "at market" buy for wave 3s (cap raises) or a straddle combination for a desired VWAP outcome, they simply match +1 its the most economical way, this shows on intraday price charts you can see that price is completely dominated one way or the other..no counter trend incremental price moves its all down or all up.
