It is anyone’s guess on GDN – Jantimot says, “Charts don't lie, but they can't tell the future either!” I tend to agree – they are supposed to improve our chance of success.
Back to the GDN chart – I would call the pattern a Symmetrical Triangle. (I tend to use line as opposed to bar charts) I understand these patterns are: * usually continuation pattern (not always) * breakout ½ to 2/3 into pattern (could be so on a weekly) * volume falling on formation (seems to be the case) * watch which swings have the most volume (maybe positive on the daily) * and finally the breakout determines the direction of the trend.
So the pattern has yet to be resolved –
