As it is well-publicized that Mercedes has been working with Sila on silicon anode batteries, is it not possible that Sila is the battery manufacturer that is using our secret sauce to make the batteries for Mercedes?
Their much-touted battery plant expansion is set to come online in the new year with existing customers Mercedes Benz and Panasonic, along with 3 other as yet unnamed companies, as per Electrive article of June 28.
Could it be that the resolution of things with Sila is that they make the batteries and we supply the tech? Hopefully, our chunk of the pie is worth it!
