It seems that a major problem with the initial libraries was that while they were hugely diverse the problem was that they seem to have no true compatability with the human cells they are trying to enter- I make this assumption based on the lack of results for the first library and the excitement/ interest around the seemingly improved results from the later library upgrades, where the libraries were modified to include proven peptides derived of virulent cells. The flaw seems to be the fact that the original libraries contained billions of peptides that don't seem to act as required around human cells. PYC only got where they have (if that is anywhere at all) because they seem to have created some very exciting library scanning technology and cell penetration detection systems. All comes to little unfortunately still until they use all this technology to actually find a peptide that enters the cell and reacts as required, and be able to prove this. Surely this will come if they keep expanding the libraries with peptides derived from cells that are already known to react with human cells. Peptides from deep sea volcanoes are all very well but there is not much relationship between these and human cells- Again based mainly on the lack of results for the initial libraries. Everyone is apparently lining up for scans on the subsequent libraries, not the first.
