Australia-based Admiralty Resources has a 49% stake in the La Japonesa iron ore mine in Chile's Atacama Region, near the city of Vallenar, as well as a non-metallic mine project in Argentina. The other 51% of La Japonesa is held by Chilean miner Minera Santa Bárbara. Most of the mine's output, plus the additional production expected from nearby deposits, is earmarked for export to China.
