you seem to be terribly worried for my welfare. Thanks very much for caring.
I had a wonderful weekend. My footy team won. And there was lots of excitement on the political front, I seem to recall. Hope you had a great weekend too.
Something about the greatest result in Australian political history??
Now I know little about him, but I'd say even Barry O'Farrell isn't THAT attractive. Then again, yes, the NSW Government may have been dead rotten, producing this avalanche vote just for him.
But this was surely also a protest vote against the tax regime of Federal Labor, (is what I think). People who'd never voted anything but Labor in their lives - have woken up to reality - and voted accordingly. Well done, I say, for people to stand up to being bullied tax wise.
Take the Carbon Tax impost, whose credibility Tim Flannery just sunk, with his admission that, even if emissions were stopped tomorrow, it would be 1000 years before any noticeable reduction in world temperatures were the result, and that is if thr whole world followed us, which they are not doing. And then he could not say what these reductions in temperature would ever be - if any. Or what this regime is going to cost the Australian public over the years - as once in it;ll never be rescinded!
But he'll wriggle his way out of this one - with Gillard's help. Like her lie - she'll start to deconstruct what he said - and make excuses for it. He's probably being thrashed as I write - having been thrown in the Tower~!
Meanwhile, we may be wiped out by an asteroid.
But our descendants will still be paying the Gillard taxes up until that happens! For nothing, except to balance the every diminishing budgets being run by inept and irresponsible Labor Governments like hers. Just to help keep them in surplus, and allowing Swan to keep the gloat on his face.
Thanks for all your suggestions Leaders. Don't worry about my feet - they're firmly on the ground - and I don't have a gun!
Off to have a coffee. And hope your day is a good one, Leaders.
