All movements were a cancer on their respective societies.
All relied on public informstion about their victims; e.g. their race, occupation, religion, education or income - in summary, a combination of race, religion and social class, which might be predicive of voting behaviour or "political correctness".
All movements also relied on the jealousy, greed and hatefulness of other people - family members, work colleagues or neigbbours - to implement their grudges and denounce their innocent victims.
