Its odd, but noone makes a similar amount of fuss when gold moves into oversupply and the gold price falls.

Noone says Newcrest or Goldfields should cut production and allow the smaller producers to have part of the market - even though their products are identical. The junior iron producers have higher operating costs AND produce a worse (lower grade / poor properites) product. Can't people accept there's not much difference between a large gold producer and a large iron ore producer ?

As for Coles and Safeway reducing product prices and small, high cost, shops going out of business, its already happened hasn't it... if you don't shop at either Coles, Safeway, or IGA I don't know where you would shop. Is there still a little Greek bloke at the corner shop down your way ?
