Shameless mismanagement again by the Federal Government forcing States to do quaratining at hotels when it was clear they were unsuitable.

Morrison booby trapped quantining for the states and then stuffed up the vaccine rollout. What choice do the States have while they are hamstrung by Morrison and his freakshow. Or would you prefer us to have an even bigger number of cases, swamp our health system and have the deaths that would result from that situation?

It's a tricky balancing act for State Governments, that's certainly not made any easier by having a Federal Government that has failed to meet any reasonable expectation including poo pooing the idea of building fit for purpose quarantine facilities for a year before doing a backflip.

IMO this is the most inept, clueless, selfserving, fictional narrative creating Federal Government in living Memory.

My heart goes out to those doing it tough, but to lay blame at the feet of the states is simplistic. The virus is an import, quarantining is the responsability of the Federal Government and the States should not have had to use hotels. Morrisons has never been thinking straight IMO, he's has never been a good option for P.M. and the Federal Liberals have proven themselves unfit to be the Federal Government and their coalition partners are in the same bucket.

But but...the States are, and want to be in charge of their own Ports and borders as to who comes in and who doesn't don't they? So how does it work that the Federal Government will be in charge of who comes in and who doesn't? Or is that only for the moment while the broke Labor States can't get their acts together?

Maybe the Constitution needs to be changed and all incoming persons at any Port, air or sea, be handled by the Federal Government? Stuff the State Premiers, they are just plain hopeless anyway at anything beyond primary school level.

Ole mate Hazzard made the decision to let the people off the Ruby Princess when it docked to go in to the community....we saw the results of that. Can you imagine the ruckus though had Morrison or Dutton stepped in and over ruled his decision?

Funny how it was all ok for the States to be in charge until they all fell over and couldn't do the job they said they could, failing at every turn, and now blaming the Federal Government for their failures and shortfalls...ROFL...

I don't want my taxes to be paying for some white elephant quarantine centre to be built at the expense of a new Hospital or some other necessary facility.
