    Pretty reasonable summation .
    My interpretation of what caused the result goes like this.
    Labor had some really good tax policies and some really crap ones.
    People who were struggling a bit were not willing to make the leap into the unknown.
    Fair enough.
    Morrison's campaigning was superb, the anger over Turnbull had subsided.
    Clive probably had an effect, but more than he should have because of Labor's ineptness.

    Imagine an election with no labor neg gearing policy, no franking credits debacle, proper explanation and clear air for the sensible changes( cgt, trusts, etc).


    I still wish labor had won, but Morrison hasn't been as bad as I thought.
    No reason why he won't win the next election as well.
    If he is doing a bad job , labor will probably resurrect the franking credits changes etc, to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again.
    I doubt I will ever forgive their squandering of the opportunity they had.
