1233 [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Deutsche Bank retains sell recommendation on News
Corp (NWS.AU) with target of A$21.00 vs latest A$22.72, down 7 cents. Analyst
Mike Mangan says "we cannot see NWS performing until the Liberty stand off is
resolved," with John Malone to potentially expand Liberty's 18% voting stake to
around 50% by switching from nonvoting stock, currently at 3% discount to voting
shares, post November expiry of "poison pill." Analyst expects NWS "to be a
market performer at best, in the face of many non-operational issues and at
least until the Australian overhang clears in September 2005." (WEL)
