Gold continuing to rise, now $1115, up $155 in the last 12 hours, but ALD last trade at $0.26. Crazy. This is worth about $12 million extra annual profit for the company.
Investors nervous about ALD because no news. All we need is official confirmation from the company that production is back on track and we should see a serious re-rating. Some positive drilling news will also be helpful.
Gold price rise is good incentive for Barrick to pick up the pace and look more seriously at their investment in ALD.
