Dont worry about it just fly with virgin, more points per flight, less points and more availability when you want to cash some in. Nice planes with proper modern business class not the junk business offering qantas has had for the last 20 years. Flew from Perth to Syd on QF yesterday in a 767 that was probably about that old, they were spruking the new business class only difference i saw were some cheap leather seat covers, same grumpy old cabin crew. About $2000 one way glad I was not paying.
I think qantas has had it, real shame in some ways. The offering from Arab and Asian carriers and even the kiwis is far superior to old planes, grumpy staff, delayed flights and never ending negative media headlines, that are probably mostly true.
