the people in need, do they smoke and drink??
ok - years ago watso knew someone, who was a spendthrift - yeah, she was a spendthrift - wore the most expensive glasses etc - had 5 children, and rocked up to the welfare agencies, looking for a hand out.
another woman, turned to welfare, and then knocked what the salvation army provided.
anyway, gillard is doing her best to control electricity prices. some guy on the radio , the other day, mentioned the tariffs for different times of the day , using a smart meter - it seems that 2 pm and 8pm, the tariff was about 45c per kw/hour - that is expensive, and that is when people use the electricity - it also happens to be the hottest part of the day.
one wonders how we got through the day, without air conditioning, but we did - but that was then, and now is now. wow - just wait until billions in the third world want their share of the air conditioning - and they are entitled to it
