Those rates are insane!
It's the same with stamp duty on buying a home. When it was first brought in it only affected sales in the higher price bracket but now everything gets hit and hard. I've paid over $70,000 in the last 4 years.

They have their coffers overflowing with cash and then spend it on various weird projects and expect us to be be grateful or impressed. I would rather keep the money and then vote on their ideas to see if they have enough merit to justify our funding them.
