After spending time in Bolivia I found out you dont need to spend so much on power to have the good life.
Now I have a small 90 square metre home , mainly use the radio instead of the plasma screen, use hibernate on the computuer which is available on virtually all computers anyway, have a switch on the wall that turns off the home stereo so no standby power being used, use a wood stove in winter it also heats the water .
Use the microwave instead of the stove and or use a mini toaster stove (great investment) My power costs 20cents Kwh and average monthly cost is around $110.00 to me thats quite resonable for 2.5 people.
Fuel cost of around $150 a month diesel holden cruze car and push bike around 700Km a month
I think some on here need to change their ways instead of complaining.
