I visited the Lake Street office this morning at approximately 9:50 am, however, there was nobody there. No receptionist, no accounts, no managers, just two rocks sitting outside the building and an empty desk or two. There is evidence someone still visits with an unopened Australian Post package left on the desk and the gardens kept clean, yet all the workers from previous times (and my euphoria) have vanished. What I have noticed since my last visit to Cairns, two years ago, the city has become busier whilst the lack of "Snow Peak" vehicles and signage appear to have diminished.

Now, before anyone cries "blue murder", I did not arrange to meet anyone from the company and from the earlier announcements, most of the financial work is now based in Sydney, so it was slightly to be expected.

I will try to get out to Mt Garnet but I would suspect a similar situation.

Sadly, there is very little else to report besides that it is not raining today. Interestingly, Cairns has had only 350 ml of rain since the start of January, with 225 ml in the last two days!
