Yes I understand the effects price controls have on the supply and demand equation. WDS made $656m in the September qtr from the Bass Strait alone. Seems to be quite profitable!
Another curious part of the gas market in Australia is why we seem to be paying 40% more for our own gas than the Japanese. The market is clearly broken.
