devils advocate

I am a large holder and every one of the scenarios being tabled would suit me fine however...... I've been screwed in the past and it goes like this:

800 million shares, boaord recommends 100 to 1 consolidation.
8 million shares, board recommends new share sale of 500 million shares at say $1 each.
Company has capital, bond holder supply and get control.
Existing shareholders end up with 1.57% of capital!!!

I know it's depressing but whats to stop them?
