The fact is, the government has already made that decision. They took that decision out of our hands. Any cost benefit analysis will show what a monumental f#%kup this has been, purely from an economic (devils arithmetic as above) standpoint. People should have had the right to make that decision, if anyone was worried enough about it, then personally choose stay inside and let the world carry on outside like normal. There are measures that should have been taken for anyone at risk, i.e. if visiting the elderly get a test etc.
