Of course there was panic but it still was a correction. There were way too many stocks over-inflated just like in 2000. Have a look at the XAO chart over the last 5 years, then 10 years, then 30, then segment 5 years up to each crash ie-1987 and 2000 and have a look at the correlation. Then look at it overall. (I'd post it for you but that'd be too easy, DYOR) OF COURSE this was a correction and not just panic ffs! But there is always an element of panic just like every other time. Some stocks get oversold, some don't and some go bust, that's the stock exchange for you.
Are you trying to tell me the prices at the end of 2007 were warranted given the sharp increase over the 5 years previous to that? Give me a break! lol
