We've got 3 operations.
2 mines, Vlakvarkfontein and Ferreira
1 Delta Wash Plant.

These 3 operations provide income to Conti as the Washplant buys in coal from non Conti mines, washes it (Value Adds), then on sells it for Export.


As an aside to the Delta Washplant, coal that doesn't meet the export requirement is rewashed and blended which constitutes Eskom product.
There was also an issue a number of months ago now where some arm chair observers were of the opinion that we had to buy in coal because our Conti coal wasn't of good enough quality.
Needless to say, they didn't check their facts, had a good rant and got it completely wrong.
