dfinanz - Fair Rate Movement

    Hi All,

Stumbled over this global social network for finance. Makes for interesting reading/listening. The founder is an Australian ex-banker who thinks that banks have had things their own way for too long. You put in your bank and what your mortgage rate is and then you put in what you think a 'fair' mortgage rate would be. The idea is to get enough numbers to put pressure on the banks. I went and had a look at this just now and there are quite a few Aussie's who have put their rates in there.

Being a property owner with an interest in markets I found this pretty interesting - seems to be where those two worlds collide. Thought this might be interesting to some people also especially as part of the dfinanz platform looks very much like a home loan market depth ... kind of hard to explain but when you see it you understand quickly why banks would feel pressure from the Fair Rate List.
