One thing that has me thinking ....thinking out loud for the benefit (or otherwise) of other hotcopperites...

We now SDL have a great resource and all that.

We know the chinese are involved - evidence particularly in the last week or two with Hanlong coming on board. A few days ago I posted a link to an article that said (something like) Hanlong wanted to get into the IO business to be another force for IO supply, up there with Rio, Vale, etc....

But one thing that gets me is where is Rio, Vale etc in all this.

At the moment, a few big player dominate the Iron Ore market, with China (and emerging India) being pretty good cusomters...

Surely, if I was in the position of the current IO suppliers I would be trying to do anything I could to stop the SDL project and/or get my hands on it....

China, getting a big foothold into the IO market and the opening up of another massive IO supply will do no favours for the existing big boys, and I'm sure they are watching whats going on... but what will they do (if anything)??
