Rather than speculate where DFT and SWT are going, look at the IIN site which has an update on broadband industry. You will see that they wish to get customers via dial up initially; get them hooked then onto broadband. They are also working towards their own networks, getting away from Telstra; vertical expansion and leading to VOIP, the next big cash business. All this costs money, but IIN has shown in the past that it can make profits, pay dividends, raise funds and knows the business backwards. The other players will need to merge to lower costs and stay in the game.
