The announcement was made late today, with DFT confirming that it had raised $650,000, to "repay existing debt and for general corporate purposes". As a result, ~118m shares have been issued @0.0055c.

Presumably, some of the existing debt repayment is to Lucent?

I do not hold DFT, although I had the option of doing so, back in the dying days of VNT. To date, DFT has not recovered from the VNT acquisition although if the Lucent vendor financing facility is near gone (through a combination of write-offs by Lucent, and debt repayment by DFT), then DFT may look up to better days.
