    re: donhoop diabetes anyone? miles, you've got me wrong, probably through my own ignorance. You've mentioned hormones and I thought you meant something wrong with my sexual plumbing, to which I said "no way!" (Sure, I was boasting a bit, but, hey don't we all?) Anyhow, banjar's mention of thyroid seemed like a totally different thing (I know bugger all about 'toids and 'mones). Anyhow, you've made a good point about checking everywhere for signs. My GP actually does this on a very regular basis. He keeps sending me to a lab for blood tests and gives me a pretty thorough going over all the time. I see him often on social occasions and if he suspects anything you can be sure I'll be at his clinic the next day.
    But I will put that to him. I'm now pulled between suicide and enthusiastic anticipation! Oh, what to do!!!

    But I am touched by the amount of concern and surprised by the amount of interest people must genuinely have on this issue.
