Very interesting reading Bungy and thanks for the research. I feel the need to correct your post as this method is very outdated (1966). Clifford's Rule has been replaced with a different type of modelling that has been proven to yield very expensive diamonds, with a remarkable success rate.

The method relies less on Archean portions of the cratons and more on the age of fossils. As a general rule the older the fossils the better quality and more expensive the diamonds discovered are. This modelling has typically been associated with the discovery of rare pink diamonds (exceptional quality).

The age of the fossils although extremely important is not enough by itself to produce top quality diamonds, and this is where the modelling becomes extremely important. For optimum success you need the combination of an old fossil and very young model.....diamonds are sure to follow.
