Gravity survey results showed Se251 to be denser than the surrounding country rock (gravity high) which is the opposite of L259 which was less dense (gravity low). The low density of L259 is likely due to more weathering and erosion and suggests it is an older prospective pipe. This is good news as Mineral Services (lab consultants) state that the older pipes that were emplaced early on in the period of kimberlite volcanism in the area have the potential to have sampled more substantial amounts of diamondiferous mantle and hence contain greater quantities of diamond. So drilling L259 should be easier and faster as it is less dense than Se251 though the pyroclastic kimberlite is likely to sit deeper due to the effects of weathering and erosion. Anyway, will be interesting to see the drill results when they arrive.
