Mine operators learn about Government projects

Luanda - The International Mining Fair (FIMA2014) held in Luanda until Sunday, served, among other purposes, for national operators in the sector to learn about projects designed by the Government to diversity the country?s economy.

This was said by the manager of the Luanda International Fair (FIL), Francisco Sousa, while assessing the result of the four days event.
Francisco Sousa told Angop that the local and foreign operators had an opportunity to learn about the National Geological Plan (Planageo) drafted by the Government.
He said the presentation of the project enabled the participant to have a closer contact with the mining prospecting plan underway in the country.
Francisco Sousa highlighted the importance of the participation of provincial agents who came up with various ornamental rocks from their regions.
He made a positive assessment of Fima2014 which he said opened the gates great projects, as the sector is considering to bring in other sectors of the economy.
The official announced that a new format is being considered for the coming edition, enabling the mining sector to expand its contribution to the country’s economic diversification programme.
The 5th edition of the International Mining Fair that went with the theme “Planageo, prospecting, mining diversification and development” had the participation of nine of the country’s 18 provinces and 70 exhibitors.
