With the Mothae Antwerp tender, it is likely there was 1 to 2 weeks viewing/tender cycle for customers, at the end of that period the bidding process would close. With online tenders the results would be known at the close. Assuming everything sold customer notification and payment should be complete within a week. Unsold parcels are usually not renegotiated and would be redistributed to future sales (unless funds critical). 

Given the goods were not run of mine, sales results can be misleading to future earnings.
