operating costs at Mothae are nothing like $6.8m per month (and they are not at Lulo either as sales are nothing like $80m per year but they still make a small profit and pay irregular dividends)

mining costs at mothae are modelled at US$12.20 per tonne treated in phase 1 so at 90,000 tonnes per month operating costs are around US$1.2m (refer October 2017 presentation for details)

Thats what the costs are at Lulo, which only puts through 20,000bcm per month at a cost of around $1.5m, which is $18m per year, I’m not sure where you got the $80m per year from, but it sure seems popular judging by the thumbs up.

If mining can be achieved that cheaply at Mothae, I’m pleasantly surprised.
