PR HIGHLIGHTS REFORM IN THE DIAMOND FIELD SECTORThe President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said today in Luanda that several foreign investors have expressed interest in betting on the exploitation of rough diamonds in Angola.

According to the Head of State, the transparency of the diamond sector's policies, especially the commercialization segment, contributed to this new reality.

The Angolan statesman also praised the initiative to build diamond-polishing factories in the producing Provinces, since it represents a factor of economic and social development for the local communities.

President João Lourenço also mentioned that the realization of the first diamond auction in Angola, obeying international standards, constituted an added value for the country.These statements were made during the opening address of the VII ordinary session of the MPLA Central Committee.
