Interestingly I was reading a piece on LinkedIn from the Antwerp World Diamond Council on not including diamonds in any sanctions, that post has now been deleted.
Diamonds would seem a logical choice to apply sanctions to, though for the industry it may have price ramifications that create turmoil, given the current relative lack of supply, removing around 30-40% of production may result in price hikes that could cause chaos in the market as manufacturers are already talking about getting unprofitable!
