Is'nt it nice to have another bow in our fiddle,in between annocements regarding drilling results and generally how the Hammersly project is progressing up until they start mining, that we now have annoucement reagarding a new diamond discovery.
You can expect that it should flow generally the same way.
With more soil samples/trenching to take place, bulk sampling and also drilling of a kimberlite pipe.
These guys have some great gear, they already own their own mini Heavy Media seperation unit, essential for diamond recovery whether it be for bulk sampling or the start of a small commercial operation to generate cash flow from alluvial deposits. It has throughput of probably 150tonne an hour.A commercial grade diamond operation is roughly 1-3ct a tonne, diamond clarity is also a very important factor.
Arglye probably had about 20% of their diamonds gem quality, but with 20-30 million cts it makes for alot of sparklies.Pehaps 1% pinks and at $100,000 a carat we all wouldn't mind some of these.
On average rough diamonds go for $1000.00 a carat, and polished might sell for $5000.00-$10,000 on the wholesale market.Set that stone in 16gms of gold add your polished diamond and you have a piece of jewellery that sells for between $10,000-$20,000.
