I bought a large glass jar of pickled cucumbers. The weight of the jar was 2.2 kilos. It sold at the fruit market for $2.29. ( it also came from India) the same bottle roughly in weight from a aussie producer was $9.80) Although the indian product had to travel about 9000km to get to my fruit shop. An to be honest they taste almost the same.
Also cheap pickled items are coming in from the countries around the Estonian, Latvia and old Yugoslavia region really cheaply to. Must be a over supply and they are dumping on our market for the strong aussie dollar.
