At the risk of cross-polluting threads, I think UOS has a (very long term) track record of value creation that is extremely hard to match on the ASX. Though over the last 5 years, very few would have delivered more for shareholders than DDR, with IPO investors who paid 20cps having received 29.11cps in dividends to date (with a 'grossed up value of 41.6cps).
It is definitely true that in some reports, you may find yourself aghast at the amount of capital that disappears into inventory or some other frightening hole. But it usually reappears in explosive operating cashflow in the next quarter or half. As an analyst, you need to be able to factor for this - Eternalgrowth
