from the next mining boom about potash company POK?????

funny, ive actually been seeing a lot of this potash talk and food scarcity thing with the increase in population,

funny thing is if you go back to my research notes, or more correctly the world bank research notes, that i done some research on too,

you'll see that the forecast price of fertilizer going into the future by ten years,

is actually reducing by about ten percent a year, so,

fertilizer is actually becoming cheaper yet its costing more to get out of the ground, some ones telling us porkie pies,

if fertilizer prices are coming down that means one of two things,

firstly im a farmer, some of you already know that, so i would know more than some of the peanuts out there behind their desks,

so firstly if fertilizer prices are coming down, it means that farmers are not putting in crops due to the uncertainty with the weather patterns of current, no brainer really isn't it,

so if we aren't buying fertilizer then the manufacturers are getting stuck with it, so what do you do with the surplus of product?

well silly billy, you drop the price so that way we buy it, and guess what, we still aren't buying it, so they drop the price again, we still don't buy it, they drop the price again we still don't buy it, follow me,

so secondly, you don't know like i do that we have an alternative to potash, we simply don't need the fertilizer that they think we need,

fertilizer will become very cheap soon, like prices back 10 to 15 years ago, it has to because we've have other alternatives that actually give us better yields and growth for less input costs, other than diesel which will continue to rise,

we've all ready factored in diesel prices into our business model of $2.50 a litre,

so i would be very surprised to see any of these companies actually going anywhere in the future,

be very very careful investing in these companies, you could just get reamed,

    just my opinion, :)
