From a broader ASX perspective, I agree (for reasons previously stated) with your last paragraph.
To click out the $40.00 figure, however, you have to also factor for some overseas interest in the Bank (circa, HK&S), or a change in management at the top.
In my strategic thinking, I am factoring for both eventualities.
