I agree also that most likely the mining will run 24/7. However, the Council has to be seen to support some of the concerns of the rate payers regarding the issues raised, which I'm sure most people can understand. I figure they feel they must attempt to place some restrictions and if they fail to get those restrictions imposed they can at least say they tried.

It simply isn't feasible for the operations to be restricted to the times suggested by Council and I reckon deep down they know it.
