As if following Rupert Murdoch's orders to terminate Turnbull wasn't enough; I just heard a report that the Liberals are now panicking over the by election for his seat.
Media reports claim that no less than Phillip Ruddoch is to grovel to Turnbull and seek either his return to lead the election campaign or to make a high level public statement of support for the non female candidate contesting it.
Oooops, forgot to mention, that candidate has already stuffed up big time with what appear to have been intentionally offensive remarks aimed at denigrating public school teachers - perhaps even inspiring teacher organisations to campaign hard against him.
