Yes we disagree but agree in a sense
I believe it gets pushed around by traders rather than shorters, eg the trader buys the dip and then sells the mini rally for pips. Being a cheap volatile stock it lends itself well to traders, unfortunately traders often do more damage than good as stops get hit / short term targets get hit and is why trends work well to follow.
I have included a chart here, certainly has been battered, the blue indicated a pretty strong support zone which is probably where some real buying should kick in. The blue and red zones are created by an indicator that I use to back up my own analysis
