True but I think you'll find that the GT3000 rig is actually un-proven as well. This is a completely different concept in design and manufacture to any of the other Globe Drill rigs. That was the whole point that his previous joint partners TerraTherm pushed in their marketing material.
So I wouldn't have thought he bought it for the PROVEN ability of the product. Until they drill the first test hole it's not even known if this will work.
I think Nanne just knew Globe Drill was in financial trouble and sniffed a deal.
Time will tell whether that was a genius stroke or the biggest mistake CCK have made.
