My gut feel is not an accurate barometer for anything useful and like the clouds will change pretty frequently so really worthless.
Anyway for what it's worth - very little I'm afraid - my gut feel is that the start of life is highly unlikely; but it only had to happen once, and it did indeed appear to happen at least once.
