Happy reading - in effect the links say that the stimulus package of 2008/09 cushioned the Australian economy from the GFC. Whether the money was spent wisely is another matter - my personal view is that they could have got better value for money by investing in more Nation building projects rather than simply focusing on short term spending with no obvious long term benefits.
