That is what I mean, "if the profits were real".
If the profits were inflated by somehow using some of the borrowings to appear as income, then the execs could skim more off in bonuses and payments, then it is nothing more than a huge Ponzi scheme.
I know, just some rantings by a P@$$%# shareholder, but my analytical brain needs to find answers to explain what happened and ensure I don't fall for the same trap again. This is why I ask isn't it ASIC's job to ensure that reportings and so forth that are given to investors is true?
Yes, I will probably be interested to borrow the book in 10 years to read about it, maybe it will make as interesting reading as the Enron collapse.
