the ASIC numbers suggest that the insto shorters did not take up big chunks of the CR to cover, i.e., the outstanding shorts did not change much after the CR.
compare the net outstanding shorts on ASIC on the days when tranche 1 (80 Mil shares on 16/11/2012) to the day before. there was a drop of 4 Mil shorts. And tranche 2 (120 Mil shares 23/11/2012) to the day before, there was a drop of 2 Mil shorts.
the covering of 68Mil shorts started after the positive court outcome and the arrival of the concentrate at the LAMP. Today's ASIC short report for 3/12/2012 will show the impact of the "first feed to kiln" notice.
