Ok, the ChannelNews article contained some facts and a heck of a lot of hearsay. The question is - why was it published?
If another recent post on here was genuine (the email exchange) then the writer from ChannelNews went through a lot of trouble, including impersonating QFX staff.
Could that suggest he was paid? It's a leading story on two of his sites and the timing is suspicious with an AGM happening.
One company owns preference shares of QFX and stands to profit by more than $10 million in the case of a material event. This effectively repels takeover offers.
Someone said it on it on the QFX board a few months ago - the company which owns preference shares could cause a stir and clean out QFX.
Could this be an attempt to get shareholders nervous and accepting any offer that comes their way?
ASIC may need to look closely at this one. Any opinions?
Did someone pay for a dodgy article?
